Ed Mason
Chief Executive Officer
Ed is CEO of Jet Zero Australia and is focussed on meaningful actions to establish the SAF industry and decarbonise aviation in Australia with the application of his thirty years of experience in financing large energy and resource businesses at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, HSBC, Renaissance Capital and Royal Bank of Canada. He has a Bachelor of Engineering & Computing (Hons) from Monash University and is a Graduate in Corporate Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia.


David Scott
Non-Executive Chairman
Chair of Board & ESG
Venture capital investor with a focus on biofuels. He has experience in building emerging biofuel businesses and supports management by providing advice on strategy. He was founder, investor, and Managing Director of Straw Fuels, a UK based bio-fuel business focused on meeting EU targets for renewable transport fuels. Prior to Straw Fuels, David was Co-Head of Asian Equities at HSBC and Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.


Rebecca O'Dwyer
Non-Executive Director
Chair of Remuneration, Audit & Risk
Rebecca has over 20 years of financial services experience in Australia and the UK, in addition to 4 years as a mining engineer. She worked for 8 years as Senior Mining Analyst with Colonial First State Global Asset Management and 6 years as a sell-side analyst covering resources equities with Morgan Stanley and Investec. Prior to this, she worked for Anglo American. Rebecca is currently a Non Executive Director at Tribeca Global Natural Resources Ltd.


Jonathon Flegg
Non-Executive Director
Chair of Policy
Jonathon is a policy and regulatory specialist who has spent a career focusing on major infrastructure, energy, and resources projects. He is a Founding Partner of Freshwater Strategy and was previously Head of Public Policy & Partnerships at CT Group and Associate Director of Infrastructure Advisory & Economics at Deloitte. He is an award-winning corporate executive and has advisory experience on $8 billion in infrastructure projects, operating concessions and major bids. He holds a Master of Public Policy (Economic Policy) from the London School of Economics and a Master of Public Policy from the National University of Singapore.


Rick Koumouris
Non-Executive Director
Rick has 34 years with Fluor Corp, a leading multibillion dollar engineering contractor. He has had a distinguished career in engineering and project management and has worked on tough multibillion dollar new technology projects (such as the first High Pressure Acid Leach Project in Australia). He is currently a senior advisor to Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and is assisting the board and Project Manager with decisions in relation to project FEED.


Mac Irvine
Chief Financial Officer
Mac was Director at the Clean Energy Finance Corp (CEFC) for the past 9 years, leading amongst other things CEFC’s investments in bioenergy and the circular economy. Mac has extensive experience in corporate and project financing, deal structuring, procurement, and strategy and execution, both domestically and internationally across a variety of sectors, including renewable energy, power and utilities, infrastructure and property. In addition to CEFC, Mac previously held roles at Barclays and KPMG in the UK. Mac completed a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Commerce (Finance) at the University of Queensland.


David Johnston
General Manager
25 years of operational and strategic accountabilities for oil and gas businesses at national, regional, and global levels. David has an extensive background in refining, product sales and the commercialisation challenges of innovative technologies. He was head of downstream oil, refining and supply chain operations in NSW for Shell and worked with the Australian Dept of Defence and Exergen. David has a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Honours) from Curtin University and is a Chartered Engineer from the Institution of Chemical Engineers.


Neil Gardner
Commercial Manager
Neil has 20 years’ experience in the energy industry, including 7 years with Arrow Energy (50/50 Shell & CNPC CSG JV) as Commercial Manager and Senior Advisor to the CEO of Shell and an additional 7 years with Verbrec, a mid-tier engineering services provider with operations across Asia Pacific. Neil has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Birmingham.


Andy Fielding
Project Manager
Andy has 21 years at Woodside Energy managing projects from concept development and analysis, through to project execution management with budgets in excess of $2 billion. Andy was considered one of Woodside’s star project managers, most notably delivering the Greater Western Flank 2 (GWF2) Project 35% under its $3 billion dollar budget and 12 months ahead of schedule.


Michael Pope
Technical Director
Michael spent 38 years with Shell having of which spent 19 years in refinery technology and operations and 19 years in strategic advisory services. He was most recently involved in SAF projects at refineries at Shell Pernis (greenfield) and Rheinland (gasoil hydrotreater conversion) and helped lead Shell’s R&D efforts in SAF globally.


Rob Venables
Engineering Manager
Rob is an accomplished engineering and project leader with more than 25 years of experience across the oil and gas sector. He spent the past decade at Shell in senior engineering and project roles, and before that in senior roles with Transfield Worley in New Zealand. Rob brings expertise in delivering complex projects, leading high-performing teams, and solving challenging engineering problems. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London and is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Chemical Engineers.


Adam Douglas
Industrial Manager
Adam has spent 10 years at Wilmar, where he held a role as Regional Operations Manager, in managing the Macknade and Victoria sugar mills, with Victoria Australia’s single largest sugar milling operation. Adam has supported commissioning of LanzaJet’s Freedom Pines Facility in Georgia and been instrumental in shaping the strategy around Jet Zero’s upstream industrial portfolio including ethanol feedstock. He is a mechanical engineer by background and is based in Townsville.


Clare Matthews
Company Secretary
Serving as legal authority to the executive leadership team with experience across multiple foreign jurisdictions, strengthening Jet Zero’s risk and compliance frameworks. Clare also champions a continuous improvement approach to building collaborative and effective legal functions that support complex and high growth business environments. She is a solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia (current Unrestricted Practising Certificate) and qualified as a Chartered Company Secretary.


Mark Freeman
Finance Director and Company Secretary
A Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in corporate finance and the resources industry. He has experience in strategic planning, business development, mergers and acquisitions, North American gas commercialisation, and project development general management. Mr Freeman has worked with a number of successful ASX public resource companies.


Jackie Mason
Sustainability
Jackie is experienced in developing sustainability plans for small cap ASX listed companies. She enjoys collaborating with companies and relevant stakeholders to develop their ESG framework in order to achieve their UN SDG’s. She holds a Bachelor of Business and Japanese from Swinburne University in Melbourne and post graduate studies in Business Sustainability Management from Cambridge University, UK.


Ketti Ketmontri
Project Engineer
Ketti has completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Science from the University of New South Wales, majoring in Renewable Energy Engineering and Ecology. She dedicated her thesis to “Sustainable Aviation Fuels: Exploration of Australian Feedstocks under Plasma Gasification”. She previously worked as a consultant at EnergyLink Services on projects involving energy assessments, emissions modelling and carbon inventories to develop a broad understanding of sustainability, with a deep focus on gasification technologies and sustainable aviation fuels. From that role, she has discovered her passion for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).


Darren George
Accountant
Darren is an experienced accountant having previousy worked across jurisdictions in the United Kingdom and Australia. He has completed a Bachelor of Mathematics at the University of Warwick.
